General remarks:

  • Eggs: Volume measured by Stonehouse (1964) and Spaans & Spaans (1975), which make comparison possible with data from Texel (Camphuysen pers comm 16.04.2020).
  • Nest 126Z positioned on dam 1 south, 2 meters north of 63, visible from north side. Part of "control group Herring Gulls".
  • ID uncertain in 2022: likely both adults are Herring Gull.
  • ID 2024: one pareent is Herring Gull. Trapped in May 2024, now b/w-AH.

OBSERVATIONS:
05-05-2024 adult: Herring Gull male trapped at nest. Now b/w-AH.
eggs: 3x, measured.
04-06-2024 eggs: 1x, seems old, but is warm.
